Fire Burns Building At Gwinnett Trucking Company
Firefighters responded to the blaze, which was reported by a passerby, a little after 7 a.m. Sunday morning.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A fire Sunday morning sent flames billowing from a building at a trucking company in Lawrenceville, causing what firefighters called extensive damage.
Gwinnett firefighters responded at 7:01 a.m. after a passerby reported the fire, at ALLSTAR Logistics, on the 990 block of Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. The caller told 911 that flames and smoke were coming out of the roof of the building.
The fire was in a metal automotive maintenance building for the trucking company. Firefighters had to cut their way in through a metal, roll-up door and had to use hoses to knock down flames before going inside.

There was no one in the building at when firefighters arrived and no one was injured, said Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge. Rutledge said the fire started in a break room in a loft area of the building and may have been sparked by an electrical sources. There were several electrical appliances and other electric components in that room, Rutledge said.

The investigation was continuing late Sunday morning and no exact cause had yet been determined.
