Flash Flood Watch Until Sunday Morning
Periods of heavy rain to impact the region through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the area until 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Periods of heavy rain could impact North Georgia and portions of central Georgia through Sunday.
“This will elevate the potential for flash flooding along and north of Interstate 20, and especially in the higher terrain of North Georgia,” according to the NWS.

An additional 2 to 4 inches are possible, causing flash flooding of roadways and near creeks, small streams, and low lying or urban areas.
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather reports. When faced with a flooded roadway, turn around, don’t drown.
