Freeze Warning Issued in North Georgia for Thursday Night
Stay warm Gwinnett: Bundle up, protect tender vegetation and keep pets inside.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Freeze Warning for most of North Georgia, including Gwinnett County.
The warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday night to 10 a.m. Friday, the weather service said. The warned area includes all of metro Atlanta and Athens.
Overnight lows are expected to be in the mid 20’s to near freezing from the north Georgia mountains to as far south as Americus.

In Gwinnett County, the overnight lows the next two nights will be the coldest of the season — 29 degrees overnight tonight and 28 Friday night.

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO THREATEN OUTDOOR PLANTS. THOSE WITH AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS IN THE WARNED AREA ARE ADVISED TO HARVEST OR PROTECT TENDER VEGETATION.
