Gwinnett Man Shot, Killed On Front Porch
Police say the man was returning home from his job when the early-morning shooting happened on Friday.

BUFORD, GA — A Gwinnett County man who was coming home from work was shot and killed on his front porch early Friday morning, according to police.
The shooting happened around midnight at 3196 Montauk Hill Dr. in Buford. According to Gwinnett County Police, George Young, 43, had just returned home from his security job outside the county and was on his front porch when he was shot.
Several family members inside heard the gunshots and came outside to find Young down on the porch. They tried to give him first aid until an ambulance arrived, but he was declared dead at the scene by a Gwinnett County Fire Department crew.

Investigators say there is no significant dispatch history for the home within the past year. No suspects had been publicly identified Friday morning and police were asking anyone with information in the shooting to contact detectives at 770-513-5300.
