Gwinnett School Tops High School Suspension List

Three Gwinnett schools are top-10 on the list for suspending the most students in the metro Atlanta area.

Meadowcreek High School in Gwinnett County has metro Atlanta’s highest number of high school suspensions, according to a new database compiled by the AJC.

The database measures disciplinary actions in the DeKalb, Cobb, Clayton, Fulton and Gwinnett county school systems, as well as the cities of Atlanta, Buford, Decatur and Marietta systems.

It also measures the number of detentions, suspensions and other disciplinary actions.

Two other Gwinnett schools -- Norcross High School and Dacula High School -- figure in the top 10 as well.
