Gwinnett Tech. Receives Donated Operating Room Equipment
The donation brings operating room technicians' training up to speed with equipment they'll use in the real world.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- The Gwinnett Technical College Surgical Technology program received a donation of equipment from Karl Storz Endoscopy-America, Inc., helping the program better train students for their future jobs in the operating room, according to a press release from the school.
The donation, which included an endoscope, a flat screen monitor, light source, camera processor, camera head and light cord, means that students training in the program will work with the same equipment commonly used in modern operating rooms.
"We are thrilled to receive this equipment. It is critical to the education of our students - and to quality patient care," said TC Parker, the surgical technology program director.
