Gwinnett Tilted Kilt Fails Inspection Again

Flies and cockroaches were found in the kitchen of the sports pub known for its provocatively dressed waitresses.

SUWANEE, GA — A Gwinnett County location of Tilted Kilt — the sports pub known for its provocatively dressed "Kilt Girls," has failed its health inspection for the second time this year.

The restaurant at 1500 Satellite Blvd. in Suwanee scored a dismal 50/U on an inspection conducted Monday. That's after the same restaurant got a failing 67/U on an inspection in May.

On Monday, inspectors said they found flies and cockroaches in the kitchen.

Raw chicken was being stored above cooked clams and chicken stock in the cooler and raw meat was being stored above cheese. Utensils that were supposed to be clean had food debris on them and there was grease built up on the cook line.

A pesticide that's not approved for use in restaurants was found and bottles of degreaser and Windex were in unmarked containers.

According to the inspection report, the restaurant's license was suspended, then reinstated after employees received training. According to state policy, it will be inspected again within the next 10 days. If problems noted during Monday's inspection aren't fixed, it could be shut down until they are.

After failing its inspection in May, the Suwanee restaurant had earned an 83/B on an inspection in June.
