Lawrenceville-based Boxlight acquires Mimio
The classroom-technology company provides in-class tech for districts including Department of Defense schools and Atlanta Public Schools.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Boxlight, the Lawrenceville-based manufacturer of classroom technology products, has acquired graphics-tablet and school software maker Mimio.
The purchase, according to Boxlight, will expand the company's K-12 technology offerings on both the hardware and software front.
"The benefits of the Mimio acquisition are two-fold," Mark Elliott, CEO of Boxlight Corporation, said in a news release. "It brings a comprehensive lineup of award-winning, proven educational solutions to meet the instructional needs of K-12 districts, schools and students. It also helps Boxlight Corporation take another step forward in its journey to become the single, worldwide education technology solution provider."
