Lawrenceville Walgreen's Murder Suspect Arrested

Victim Christopher Lamont Middleton, 21, was found dead in the parking lot of the pharmacy in November.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A Lawrenceville man has been charged with murder in the November shooting death of another man in the parking lot of a Walgreen's pharmacy.

Christopher Lamont Middleton, 21, faces charges of murder and armed robbery. He was arrested Thursday morning on a separate probation violation before being interviewed by the lead investigator in the murder case, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Wesley J. Bryant, 26, of Lawrenceville, was found dead on November 22 in the parking lot of the store at 1556 Lawrenceville Hwy. near Sugarloaf Parkway.

Police were called and arrived at the pharmacy to find Bryant laying unresponsive near a silver car in the parking lot. He was taken immediately to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the crime happened in the parking lot, either in or near the victim's car.
