LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Mercedes-Benz and Gwinnett Tech have teamed up on a program designed to train the next generation of technicians for the car manufacturer on the most cutting-edge technology in the field.

Next Wednesday, the company and school officials will host a conference at Gwinnett Tech's Lawrenceville campus to debut a partnership between the two. The partnership will include capital investments, the latest automotive manufacturing technology, Mercedes-Benz vehicles, learning resources and support, officials with the two said.

The program is designed to train new Mercedes-Benz USA service technicians to work in the company's dealerships across the country. In 2015, Mercedes-Benz USA moved its headquarters from New Jersey to Sandy Springs.
