Car theft ring hit 25 vehicles with hacked key tool, warrants say (wsbtv.com) — Lawrenceville-area apartment complexes were among several Gwinnett locations hit by an alleged car theft ring that used a key-programming device to steal at least 25 Infiniti and Nissan Maxima vehicles this summer. Police say two suspects face more than 90 warrants, while locksmiths urge residents to add steering wheel locks, kill switches, and RFID protection for extra security.
   

2. Ga. mother accused in hot car death granted $5K bond (wrdw.com) — A Gwinnett judge has granted $5,000 bond to a mother charged after her 1-year-old son died in a hot car outside Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville. Lawrenceville police say officers broke into the vehicle but could not save the child, while the court imposed strict house arrest, ankle monitoring, and driving restrictions as the case continues.
   

3. Men's Tennis releases 2026 fall schedule (roarlions.com) — Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville will host the Grizzly Invite this Friday and Saturday, bringing the University of North Alabama men's tennis team to town to open its fall season. Eight UNA players will compete here before the Lions continue their schedule with tournaments across Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia through November.
   

4. Powerball ticket worth $50K sold in Calhoun during Monday drawing (fox5atlanta.com) — A Lawrenceville mobile app player recently snagged a $25,000 Diggi Games prize during the holiday weekend, one of several big Georgia Lottery wins statewide. Other jackpots hit in Tallapoosa, Dalton, Calhoun, St. Mary's, College Park, and more, while Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots continue to climb for this week's drawings.
