Campbell was travelling westbound on Club Drive east of Cruse Road when the accident occurred around 10:22 p.m. Monday. A Lexus headed eastbound could not avoid the collision, striking the Acura in the driver’s door. The driver of the Lexus refused treatment for minor injuries.

“Investigators believe that speed from the driver of the Acura is a contributing cause to the accident. It’s unknown at this time if alcohol is a contributing factor,” police said in a news release.
