Trump's Bondsman, 1st To Bail Out U.S. President, Speaks: Report

The Lawrenceville-based bail bondsman told media that bonding former U.S. President Donald Trump out of jail was a big deal for his company.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — In a matter of 14 minutes, former U.S. President Donald Trump was booked and released from the Fulton County Jail with Lawrenceville's Foster Bail Bonds as his bond company, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Trump was released Thursday evening on a $200,000 bond on several charges, including violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. The nation's former chief executive was one of 19 people accused of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Foster Bail Bonds CEO Charles Shaw told Channel 2 it was surreal and a big deal to be the first bondsman to bail out a U.S. president from jail.
