Hours After Trump's GA Surrender, Final Allies Turn Themselves In

Ex-senior DOJ official Jeffrey Clark​ was among those to surrender in Fulton County just hours after ex-President Donald Trump's surrender.

ATLANTA, GA — Rev. Stephen Lee is the final co-defendant in a sweeping election interference indictment to surrender at the Fulton County Jail.

All 19 defendants have now turned themselves in after being indicted on Aug. 14. The group, which includes former U.S. President Donald J. Trump, is accused of trying to interfere with the 2020 presidential election.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office said Friday former Kanye West publicist Trevian Kutti, Attorney Robert Cheeley, Georgia Sen. Shawn Still, former Coffee County elections supervisor Misty Hampton, former senior Department of Justice official Jeffrey Clark and former Trump campaign official Michael Roman have all surrendered.

According to Fulton County Jail records, Lee also surrendered Friday.

Clark was charged on suspicion of violation of the Georgia Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations Act and conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, according to jail records. He was released on a $100,000 bond.

Kutti was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings and influencing witnesses. She was released on a $75,000 bond.

Cheeley was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, conspiracy to commit filing false documents, solicitation of violation of oath of office by public officer, false statements and writings and perjury. He was released on a $50,000 bond.

Still was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree forgery, two counts of false statements and writings and criminal attempt to commit filing false documents. He was released on a $10,000 bond.

Lee was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, two counts of criminal attempt to commit influencing witnesses, conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings and influencing witnesses. Jail records show he has not yet been released.

Roman was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, conspiracy to commit filing false documents. He was released on a $50,000 bond.

Hampton, who is also known as Emily Hayes, was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit computer theft, conspiracy to commit computer trespass, conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy and conspiracy to defraud the state. She was released on a $10,000 bond.

As supporters, media and those who oppose Trump crowded the Fulton County Jail Thursday, Trump surrendered late evening and was immediately released on a $200,000 bond.

He was charged on suspicion of violation of the Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations Act, three counts of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, conspiracy to commit filing false documents, filing false documents and false statements and writings.

Moments after his surrender, Trump called Thursday "another sad day in America" on his Truth Social website.

The first trial in the election interference case is set to start on Oct. 23, with former Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro facing violation of the Georgia RICO Act, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, conspiracy to commit false statements and writings and two counts of conspiracy to commit filing false documents charges.
