Walmart Neighborhood Market to Come to Lawrenceville

The supermarket will be the first of its kind in Metro Atlanta.

Another grocery store is slated to come to Lawrenceville. 

A Walmart Neighborhood Market is planned to open at Bethesda Walk Shopping Center. The supermarket only Walmart will occupy the space of the former Publix which closed in February 2009.

It will be the first Walmart Neighborhood Market in the Metro Atlanta area. The Lawrenceville Highway location is expected to open in Spring 2012. The first Walmart Neighborhood Market opened in 1998. There are currently 167 stores nationwide. Each store employs about 95 people.
