Weather Alert: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for N. Georgia
The National Weather Service said strong to severe storms are likely until 11 p.m.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for a large area in north and central Georgia until 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The watch covers all of metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
Storms moving south into Georgia from Tennessee could bring damaging winds, frequent lightning, large hail and heavy rain later tonight, the weather service said.
