Woman Steals Hundreds Of Thousands In Shipping Hoax: Police
Gwinnett Police need the public's help in locating a woman wanted for scamming hundreds of thousands of dollars from at least six people.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public’s help in locating a woman wanted for scamming hundreds of thousands of dollars from at least six people in a shipping hoax.
Police are looking for Lorena Mena, 44, described by police as a Hispanic woman from unincorporated Lawrenceville. Between July 2017 and January 2018, Mena has deceived people by claiming to be operating a business to ship items overseas. She gets people to invest or pay her for her services. She primarily targets those who are undocumented. The items are never shipped and she stops contact with the people once she is paid the money, according to police.
Police believe that Mena has fled to California or Washington because she believes them to be sanctuary states and she thinks she will avoid extradition and deportation.
