• Crawford city council filled; Lexington continues search (theoglethorpeecho.com) — Lexington's city council is still down one member as officials search for a replacement for councilor Jennifer Whitlock, who stepped down earlier this year. Mayor Evelyn Reece says they hope to appoint a qualified Lexington resident soon, stressing that a full council is crucial to move city projects forward. Nearby Crawford has already filled its own recent council vacancy.
