A Time of Beauty for both Loganville and Grayson

Aspiring young beauty queens from pre-K to soon to be high school seniors in both Loganville and Grayson will be competing for a title this weekend.

The 10th annual Miss Grayson Scholarship Pageant 2011-2012 will take place Saturday and Sunday. The pre-K, elementary and middle school pageant will take place Saturday and new high school beauty queens will be chosen Sunday.

The outgoing Grayson pageant winners from last year were in attendance at the Grayson City Council meeting on Monday to update city officials on the 1,800 of community service they had performed during their reign. The young beauty queens will be on hand this weekend to turn over their crowns to this year’s winners.

In Loganville, there also will be two pageants, both taking place on Saturday. Miss LHS Pageant is open for pre-K (4 years old) though to seniors. The pageant for elementary through to middle school girls will begin at 10 a.m. and the high school pageant will be at 7 p.m. Saturday night.

Beauty queens compete for a variety of prizes as well as scholarships.
