Four years ago, when it was still Rudy’s Bar, co-owner Joey Decker began offering a church service before the bar opened on a Sunday.
“We called it Bikers, Bible and Brunch,” Decker said. “Pastor Doug Brown would do the Sunday service for us.”
Decker said the Sunday service in the bar became so popular, that the pastor eventually had to break away and find a bigger facility.

“Once we got to where we were so packed every Sunday, Doug Brown began Freedom Worship Center in Loganville,” Decker said.
But Brunch and the Bible is about to return to the Loganville bar. Decker said starting Jan. 15, 2012, – the new bar that rose up out of the ashes of an October fire at Rudy’s - will begin offering worship services before the bar opens on a Sunday.

“We’re going to call our Sunday worship service just Bibles and Brunch since we no longer really consider ourselves a biker bar, but rather a bar that is biker friendly,” Decker said. “Doug Brown will conduct two services on a Sunday morning – one at the bar before we open and then one at Freedom Worship Center.”
So for 2012, in addition to Open Mic Night on a Tuesday, Ladies Night and Live Music on a Friday and Saturday, Cooper's Corner Bar and Grill will now offer Bibles and Brunch on a Sunday too, starting the third week in January.
Freedom Worship Center will continue to offer Christian worship services at the shopping center on the corner of Rosebud Road and Highway 78. The Freedom Worship Center website claims the church "reaches out to those that the traditional church might not be so welcoming.” It offers a “family atmosphere of Christians who make mistakes and live in an imperfect world.” It has also continued the biker friendly tradition with a Christian Motorcycle membership and meeting the first Friday of each month. The website suggestion is, “Bring your bike and your Bible.”
