Easter Weekend Weather: Storms, Then Sun in Loganville, Grayson

Storms Friday night have potential to be strong, the National Weather Service said.

A strong cold front approaching from the west could bring a stormy start to the Easter Weekend in the Loganville/Grayson area.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City said strong to severe storms are expected Friday into Saturday morning in north Georgia.

The severe weather potential in our area is considered minimal (see attached graphic), however.

The weather service said the storms should clear for a sunny Saturday and Sunday (and a beautiful Easter sunrise).

Here’s a detailed look at the Loganville forecast, according to the weather service:

  • Friday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Saturday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%
  • Saturday night: Clear, low around 41.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 66.
  • Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, low around 51. Chance of precipitation 60%.
  • Monday: Showers likely, possibly a thunderstorm. High near 69. Chance of precipitation 60%.
