SNELLVILLE, GA — A former Gwinnett County high school band director has been indicted on charges that he repeatedly sexually assaulted four of his students.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Villie Jones, the former band director at South Gwinnett High School, has been indicted on 20 charges of sexual assault and one charge of child molestation.

Jones, 42, who has resigned from the job, was arrested in May and charged with four counts of sexual assault.

Most of the assaults took place in locations at South Gwinnett High School, including his office, a uniform room and a band room, the indictment said, according to the AJC. Once, Jones followed a female student into the bathroom and said he "just wanted to hold her" before sexually assaulting her, the indictment said. At least one assault caused a different victim to experience vaginal bleeding, the indictment said.

According to police in May, an 18-year-old student told officers that Jones had raped her multiple times, most recently in March. She also told Snellville Police about three more students who were allegedly assaulted by Jones.
