Fall Festivals Abound in Loganville
Fall Festivals, Trick or Treat, and Yummy Cuisine can be found in our city in October

Loganville High School will be hosting their “Taste of Loganville” event on October 1 inside Red Devil Stadium, featuring cuisine from over 20 local restaurants. Each entry fee paid will garner 5 tickets to be used to sample foods ranging from pizza to Chinese, and includes one drink. Running from 6pm to 9pm, all sales benefit the athletic department, teams, and clubs participating.
To make the even more family friendly, a children’s area with bounce houses, music, and games will be available for the younger crowd.
“The event raised $30,000 last year and we're moving it to the stadium to support 3,000-3,500 attendees with hopes of exceeding last year's funds raised!” said Kim Chadwick, Event Secretary/Recorder.

Equally exciting as the food and entertainment, the teams and clubs will also be hosting a Silent Auction with hundreds of items for auction at the event. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the teams/clubs contributing the item for auction.
Loganville Ford will also be participating at Taste of Loganville (TOL) with a special fundraiser. Loganville Ford will give LHS $20 for each test drive conducted at the event with a goal of 300-500 test drives during the 3 hour event (starting at 4:30 p.m.) with a total of $8,000 for the school. A 5-minute test-drive track will be set up with test drives departing from Red Devil Stadium. Test drive participants must be 18 years or older. The event lasts until 9 p.m, and you do NOT need a TOL ticket to participate in this fundraiser.

The 3rd Annual Autumn Heritage Festival is set to take place in downtown Loganville on Oct. 15th, with food and craft vendors lining Main Street.
Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. friends and neighbors will fill the streets of Loganville to shop, eat and enjoy the arts and crafts on show. Organizers say visitors will find plenty of interesting items from the more than 130 exhibitors. After shopping, they can set up their lawn chairs or blankets on the City Hall lawn and enjoy some music and talent from the stage areas.
“The food selection will be very diverse for the visitors, from Mexican to Cajun and pizza to burgers,” City Councilmember Michelle Lynch, past organizer for the event, said. “Sandwiches will be sold in a large variety, such as Cuban, wraps, Philly steaks, brisket and BBQ. A new vendor being featured this year is Broad River Neolithics. Michael D. Blackston will offer a display of Paleo Art, a craft specializing in flint knapping. Visitors will not want to miss his demonstration at his booth. His sale items will consist of flint knapped items as well as handmade soaps, wood bowls and hand crafted jewelry.”
The downtown area will also be the venue for "Trick or Treat on Main Street” from 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 29. Local businesses will have booths set up along the street and will pass out candy to the city’s youth. Bring out your little ghosts and goblins for a hauntingly good time!
