Gas Prices Continue Downward Trend
Although the drop has slowed, for a month straight gas prices have continued a downward trend.

The price of gas at the pump remains good news for motorists as the cost of a gallon of gas continues on a downward trend. Although still up by more than $1 from a year ago, as per a chart by gasbuddy.com, the average price of gas nationwide June 13 was $3.71. June 2010 it was $2.69.
The cost of gas had been on an upward trend until a month ago since the December 2008 low of $1.61. After hitting a high of $3.97 May 13, the price has dropped consistently for the last month. A heat map indicating the price of gas nationwide shows that Georgia continues to be on the lower spectrum of prices charged for gas at the pump.
