Here are the top stories in Loganville-Grayson today:

  1. An Atlanta man says that the GizmoWatch, which he helped develop, led him right to his autistic son. Priyansh Nigam works as a Tech Product Manager at Verizon, and he said that the most important part of his job is using the products that he helps create. In this case, the watch's real-time tracking capabilities led him to his 7-year-old son when he was lost and did not get off the bus earlier this week. He was able to notify school administrators of the exact location of his son. Knowing his son is wearing the GizmoWatch gives Nigam peace of mind, as his son wouldn't be able to communicate his location. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. Police are searching for a second man in connection with the murder of Courtney Owens, who was shot a Snellville care dealership last month. Police now believe that 41-year-old Stoney Williams is responsible for the murder-for-hire plot to kill Owens. Wesley Vikers, 23, was arrested and charged with felony murder, malice murder, and aggravated assault, and police are now searching for Williams who will also be facing the same charges. It is believed that Williams, Owens' ex-boyfriend and business partner, was the mastermind behind the plot. If you have any information, please call GCPD at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 and remain anonymous. (Newsbreak)
  3. For just $35 per year, you can cultivate your own garden in Gwinnett County. The county has opened registration for community garden plots at 10 different locations. Vines Park Community Garden in Loganville, and a new location in Grayson at Grayson Community Garden, are the local gardens in our area. Once payment is received, you will be assigned your 4 feet by 8 feet raised garden plot to grow your own food. The county provides water, soil, tools, mulch, and educational materials while you and your family maintain and cultivate your garden. Gardeners must also complete 12 hours of community service throughout the year. You can learn more and sign up at LiveHealthyGwinnett.com. (On Common Ground News)
