Grayson High School 2011 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Meghan Craft is Grayson High School 2011 Valedictorian and Sarah Ann Jestel is Salutatorian.

Valedictorian – Meghan Craft 

Meghan Craft, daughter of Bryan and Laurie Craft, is the 2011 Valedictorian at Grayson High School. She will be attending the University of Georgia with plans to major in biological sciences. Craft received a Charter Scholarship of $1,000 per year and had offers from Maxxis and Gwinnett Clinic. Among her honors and awards, Craft received a Georgia Certificate of Merit and was an AP scholar. She was a member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. Craft worked at Chick-fil-A, helped coach a young girls’ soccer team and was involved in her church youth group. She would like to pursue a career as a pediatrician.

Sarah Anne Jestel, daughter of Timothy and Susan Jestel, is the 2011 Salutatorian at Grayson High School. She will be attending the University of Georgia with plans to major in chemistry. Jestel received a Charter Scholarship of $1,000 per year and had offers from Maxxis, GAEL, Floyd and Brannan and Neeley, Groff and Boves. Among her honors and awards, Jestel received a Georgia Certificate of Merit, was the Gifted Chemistry Student of the Year and Honors U.S. History Student of the year. She was a member of the Beta Club, president of the National Honor Society and a student ambassador. She was on the executive board of the Student Council and was a class officer. She was also a member of the Future Medical Professionals of America and Students Against Destructive Decisions. Jestel served an internship and attended the Disease Detective Camp at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and worked at the law offices of Robert Pagnieloo. She plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as a pathologist.
