Grayson's Hot Tamale Chili Cook Off This Saturday
The 7th Annual Hot Tamale Chili Cook Off brings out the chili officionados
The Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce and the Grayson Cluster Schools Foundation host the 7th Annual Grayson Hot Tamale Chili Cookoff on November 5th in Grayson City Park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The competition is open to any individual, business or organization who believes they have the BEST award-worthy chili recipes!
TICKETS for the public are $5.00 each, and include access to all of the contestants’ chili, craft booths, live music and lots of entertainment. GECC President Jamie Dempsey guarantees a "day filled with food fun and friends, filled with fun activities for adults and children alike!" Additional food and drinks will be provided for a small fee by the Grayson Cluster Schools Foundation.
"Everyone is welcome to sample some of the finest chilis," said Dempsey. "Not all of our contestants are from Grayson, but some of the annual favorites are from local chili chefs!"
