In a press release dated Thursday, October 3, the SE Gwinnett Co Op announced the purchase of new property at 55 Grayson Industrial Parkway in Grayson, Georgia as the culmination of the "Finally Home Project".
The Co-Op has been housed on the campus of the Community of Grace Church on Athens Highway for the last 7 years as they saved towards the purchase of a permanent home. They hope to move into their new home debt free, anticipating that an additional $300-350K will be needed to achieve that goal.
Their fundraising campaign plans to raise $350,000 by December 31, 2013. “Being debt free will bring many blessings as we can keep operational expenses lower and provide more help, ministry and assistance to those we serve,” says Executive Director, Laura Drake. “Prayers will be coveted during this time.”

The City of Grayson is pleased with the choice of properties located within their limits. “We think this is a wonderful opportunity to serve the needs of our community,” says Mayor-Elect, Allison Wilkerson. The City plans to support the co-op in any way possible and will start by offering a flu shot clinic to benefit the co-op on Saturday, October 19th. The charge for flu shots will be a $10 donation to the co-op or $5 plus 5 canned food items. “As a charity, the co-op is an organization that benefits our community in a positive manner,” says Wilkerson.
