Grayson Elementary School to Get $1,500 from Kroger
The nationwide retailer announced it is donating a total of $22,000 to several Gwinnett County schools.

Kroger’s Atlanta Division will donate a total of $22,000 in grants to 10 Gwinnett County schools, including in Grayson, as part of its “Earning Plus Learning” program.
The annual contest invited schools across the division to creatively demonstrate how they promoted the 2011-2012 theme, “Healthy Living,” within their communities.
“Throughout the years, ’s Earning Plus Learning program has donated millions of dollars to local schools and students,” said Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for ’s Atlanta Division. “Once again, we are honored to reward these exceptional schools that have worked so hard to set an example in their communities.”

- St. John Neumann Regional Catholic School in Lilburn, Ga.
- W.C. Britt in Snellville, Ga.
$1,500 grant winners:
- Burnett Elementary in Suwanee, Ga.
- Chattahoochee Elementary in Duluth, Ga.
- Dacula Elementary in Dacula, Ga.
- , Ga.
- Parsons Elementary in Suwanee, Ga.
- Riverside Elementary in Suwanee, Ga.
- Walnut Grove Elementary in Suwanee, Ga.
- White Oak Elementary in Sugar Hill, Ga.
The Earning Plus Learning entries took the form of scrapbooks, photos, videos, essays, news clippings and more. All entries were reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of local and regional community leaders and the Kroger Community Involvement Team.
Throughout the division, 63 elementary and middle schools will receive a total of $146,950 in grants for the program..
