LHS Cheer Devils Host Mini-Camp

Cheerleaders plan instructional summer camp for kids

The Loganville High School Cheer Devils are sharing the passion for their sport with the younger generation in July, by hosting a Cheer Camp for young girls and boys interested in shaking their pom-poms!

“This camp has been an annual fundraising event benefiting LHS Cheerleading for several years,” said Kim Chadwick, Treasurer of the LHS Cheer Boosters. The squads, six in total, receive little money from the school, so they must raise funds for uniforms, travel, and other expenses themselves.

Campers will learn and  practice cheer skills, including various jumps, motions, cheers, stunts and tumbling under the tutelage of the members of the 2011-2012 LHS Spirit and Competition Cheerleaders, which consists of three JV teams and three Varsity teams.

The Cheer Camp will be held July 11 -14 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Red Devil Stadium. Open to students from grades K - sixth grade, the cost will be $55 if registered by June 30. Students can still register up until the first day of camp, but the cost will be $65. This fee includes all instruction and a camp t-shirt.

Campers are advised to wear cool, comfortable clothing for camp, as well as sneakers – no sandals allowed. The coaches also advise you send your child with a water bottle.
