LHS FFA Members Shine at the 84th Georgia FFA Convention

Loganville High School FFA members named Gold National Chapter for fourth year and received award for 100 percent membership during current year.

More than 4,000 members, advisors, sponsors and guests attended the 84th Georgia FFA Convention on April 26-28, at the Centreplex in Macon, Georgia.  

The Convention theme was “I Believe.” The Convention was highlighted by hundreds of award presentations, state competition in Career Development Events (CDE), community service projects, official delegate business, a Career Show, stellar FFA talent, powerful motivational speakers, and a concert featuring Jason Michael Carroll.

LHS FFA was recognized on stage and named a Gold National Chapter for the fourth consecutive year.  The chapter received an award for 100-percent Membership during the 11-12 school year. FFA Members Samuel Peraza and Stevie Johnson received their State FFA Degree and Samuel Peraza ran for a State Officer position.  In addition Samuel was selected to serve on the Courtesy Corps and received a scholarship to attend Washington Leadership Conference in June.  Ivy Parsons, Caleb Dickson and Austin Kennedy served as official delegates.  Loganville High School FFA Alumni received 2nd place with their gift basket in the silent auction.

There are more than 500,000 FFA members nationwide. The Georgia Association has over 29,500 members, making it the 3rd largest Association in the nation.  The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success, through agricultural education.
