Loganville Workers Don't Fare Well In Commuting Study
City ranks way down the scale when it comes to how many minutes Loganville residents spend in their daily commute to work and back.

When it comes to commuting, Loganville doesn’t score very well. An article on The Business Journals Digital Network refers to a study on which cities rank best in smooth traffic commutes. Altus, Okla., came out on top.
In Altus, more than 80 percent of the workers can get to work in less than 15 minutes. Not so Loganville. That same study found that in Loganville, only 12 percent of the city’s workforce can make it from their home to their place of work in less than 15 minutes.
While 1.5 percent of the workers in Altus face a daily commute of 45 minutes or more, almost 37 percent of those traveling from Loganville to work sit in traffic for that length of time.

The study was compiled from the numbers analyzed from commuting data from the five-year version of the 2009 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. With cities awarded points for all commuters who drive less than 30 minutes to work and losing points for all workers above that figure, Loganville’s score was a dismal -19.590, bringing it in at No. 2,917 on the list.
On the other hand, Altus, with a score of 22.411, came in at No. 1 in communities with a population between 10,000 and 50,000.
