O'Shucks to Bring a Taste of the Ocean to Loganville

New seafood grill scheduled to open this week.

Rumor is O’Shucks Seafood & Grill is scheduled to open in Loganville this week. However, with no official confirmation, it’s probably better to check before preparing your taste buds for what, according to the menu on the window, promises to be a wide variety of seafood delicacies.

According to one of  the employees, the new seafood restaurant is scheduled to open Monday, “if everything goes according to plan,” at the old location of Rey’s Cuban Grill on Highway 78 - just before Old Loganville Road. However, Sunday there was still some frantic preparation going on to get ready for the official opening.

According to the menu on the window, some of the items seafood gourmets can look forward to include Key West conch fritters, smoked fish dip, U peel em shrimp, calamari, and a variety of fried baskets. If you like oysters, you can have them raw, steamed, fried or baked and there also is a soup selection that includes seafood gumbo. Of course, a seafood place just wouldn’t be a seafood place without lobster bisque, crab legs and crab cakes.
