Police Seek Woman, Male Accomplice For Storage Thefts
Gwinnett County Police say Katie Johnson and an unknown man stole items from a Buford storage facility.
BUFORD, GA — Gwinnett Police are seeking a woman and her male accomplice wanted for a string of recent thefts at a storage facility on Buford Dam Road.

Katie Nicole Johnson (a.k.a. Katie Pethel) has been identified as a suspect in the thefts, which happened in late February, according to police.

On the afternoon of February 21, an employee of the storage facility found a man and woman wandering the property. After being confronted, they ran away, leaving behind a maroon Hyundai and a yellow bicycle.
A computer, a DVR system, multiple tools and two motorcycles were stolen.

Based on evidence recovered that day, police say they identified Katie Johnson, 35, as the woman.


On surveillance footage, a woman police say is Johnson is seen with an unidentified man. The man appears to be in his late 20s to early 30s, 5'8" to 5'10" tall and weighing 140-160 pounds with short hair and facial hair.
Johnson has active warrants for criminal trespass, burglary, entering an auto, possession of a firearm and numerous drug charges, Gwinnett County Police said.
