Rash Of Car Break-Ins Reported in Loganville Neighborhood

Victims left their vehicles unlocked with valuables inside, the sheriff's office said.

LOGANVILLE, GA — Walton County authorities are reporting a recent rash of car break-ins in a Loganville neighborhood.

On Facebook, the sheriff's office said entering auto cases have been on the rise throughout Walton County. But, there has been a particularly large uptick in the area of Center Hill Church Road, the post said.

Surprisingly, the sheriff's office went on to say that, in every reported case, the victim's vehicle was unlocked and "tempting items" were left in the vehicle.

"You should ALWAYS be able to leave anything you desire in your vehicle on your property and never have to worry about it being taken," the post reads. "Unfortunately, that is not the world that we inhabit.

"We wish as much as you that thieves weren't around but they are, so PLEASE lock your vehicle. Don't make it easy for the scumbags."
