Sheriff's Calls: Assault at Homecoming Dance, Loud Music, DUI Arrest

Zone 2
Theft – The hood to a tractor was taken from a residence on Amber Stapp Studdard Rd. The hood was later found in a ditch on Hawkins Academy Rd.

Prowler – A vehicle door was heard in the yard of residence on Hickory Nut Way in the Squirrel Hollow subdivision. Two shadows were observed near the complainant’s vehicle.

Zone 3
Arrest – Kariann Kane and Shane Akins were arrested for DUI (drugs) and numerous other traffic charges after Walton County deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for failure to maintain lane on Hwy 138 at the Hwy 78 exit.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Walker Park Elementary School on Carl Davis Rd. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were observed rolling tires through a yard at a residence on Fawn Valley Drive. The juveniles ran from the property and left the tires in the yard once they were approached by the homeowner.

Fraud – A debit card fraud report was made on Castlewood Drive.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 20 at Miller Bottom Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on White Oak Cove in the Oaks at Grandview subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.

Damage to Property – A window was busted out at a vacant residence on Greenridge Drive.

Burglary – A residence was reportedly burglarized on Logans Run in the Logans Run subdivision.

Zone 7

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 at Robertson Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Assault – An assault report was made at the Walnut Grove High School homecoming dance on Guthrie Cemetery Rd.

Loud Music Complaint – Loud music was observed coming from a residence on Greenhill Way.

Burglary – Forced entry was observed through the front door of a residence on Bypass Rd. Several items were reported missing from the residence.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Woodlake Blvd. at Lakeside Drive in the Woodlake subdivision. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
