Walmart Evacuated After Fire Started in Men's Department
The Sunday evening fire started in a clothes rack near the men's section.

Gwinnett Fire investigators are looking for the cause of a small business fire that led to the evacuation of the Walmart on Centerville Highway.
No injuries were reported, and employees were able to quickly douse a fire that started in a rack of clothes near the men’s section, according to a Gwinnett Fire news release. The fire was reported around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Firefighters found a smoldering fire when they arrived at the store at 7:41 p.m. Employees used a portable fire extinguisher as they evacuated the building; firefighters then put the fire completely out, the news release stated.

“The staff did a good job of getting everyone out safe and with helping to contain the fire,” said Gwinnett Fire Captain Tommy Rutledge.
Rutledge said the cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
