Volunteers at Archer, Mill Creek Youth Associations Honored
The two men were named Volunteers of the Year for 2014 from Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation.
Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation (GCPR) in collaboration with Children’s Health Care of Atlanta held the 2015 Youth Sports Expo on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Lucky Shoals Park.
Volunteers from two Youth Athletic Associations were recognized for committing time and effort to serve the youth in Gwinnett County. These members have shown extraordinary dedication and commitment in offering youth athletics programming in partnership with GCPR.

Brian Finneran, keynote speaker, and Gwinnett Parks Foundation members were at hand to present the awards to the winners. The 2014 winners of the Volunteer of the Year were Ken Parker of Mill Creek Athletic Association and Andy Fullard of Archer Athletic Association. Each has not only devoted time and effort in assisting in the development, promotion, and advocacy of youth athletics within Gwinnett County, but they have been instrumental in ensuring that opportunities exist for all members within their respective communities.
GCPR has a long tradition of volunteer service. Youth Athletic Associations, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, Church groups, school clubs and other groups or individuals give tirelessly of their volunteer efforts.
