Walton County Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges
The investigation in the case, by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, lasted 14 months.

MONROE, GA — A 33-year-old Walton County man has been arrested on child pornography charges after an investigation that lasted more than a year.
James Steven McDaniel, of Monroe, was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts in the case.
In November 2015, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit started an investigation involving McDaniel.

During the investigation, GBI agents seized computers and electronic devices from him. A forensic search of the devices found numerous images of child pornography, a GBI spokesperson said in an email.
The GBI and Walton County Sheriff's Office arrested McDaniel on Thursday, January 12.

He is charged with nine felony counts of possession of child pornography and two felony counts of distribution of child pornography. McDaniel was booked into Walton County Jail.
