Here are some of the calls the sheriff's office handled recently in the Loganville area.

Thursday, May 11

Theft — Deputies took a report at a residence on Tommy Dillard Road in reference to an unknown individual taking several items from the residence.

Extra Patrol — Extra patrol was requested in the area of Highway 81 and Bold Springs Road in reference to an ongoing issue with vehicles running stop signs in the area.

Damage to Property — Deputies took a report at a residence on Rabbit Farm Circle in reference to an individual trying to gain forced entry into the residence, but was unsuccessful. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Centerhill Church Road and Kent Rock Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.


Wednesday, May 10

Lost Item — Deputies took a report at a residence on Eagles Nest Court in Eagles Crossing Subdivision in reference to complainant missing a firearm. Firearm was placed on the national database as missing.

Arrest — James Blake was arrested at a residence on Ridgeway Drive for an outstanding child support warrant out of Walton County.

Tuesday, May 9

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Bay Creek Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Suspicious Vehicle — Deputies responded to the area of Nancy Way and Highway 78 in reference to an unknown motorist in a black truck throwing fruit at complainant’s vehicle. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

Arrest — Kimberly McGuffey was arrested at a residence in the area of Bold Springs Road for Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct and Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree (x3) following a dispute.

Arrest — Robert Brennan was arrested in the area of Centerhill Church Road and Sharon Church Road for Driving While License Suspended and Improper Tag following a traffic stop.

Fraud — Deputies took a report at a residence on Cobblestone Drive in reference to an unknown individual making several unauthorized charges on complainant's account.

Monday, May 8

Theft — Deputies took a report at a residence on Round Ridge Road in reference to an unknown individual taking several items from the residence.

Arrest — Gary Powell was arrested at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Road for an outstanding probation violation warrant out of Barrow County.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 20 and Centerville Rosebud Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Arrest — Jesse Norton was arrested in the area of Youth Monroe Road and Broadnax Mill Road for Speeding and Fleeing to Elude following a short vehicle chase.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Johnson Road and Lafayette Drive. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
