Friday, July 29

Suspicious Person – Resident on Old Hickory Place in Providence Club Subdivision reported a male driving a dark, Dodge van was in the area taking pictures of houses. Walton County deputy checked the area. No contact.

Arrest – Dontrell Woods was arrested for DUI, Driving while Unlicensed, No Proof of Insurance, Open Container, Failure to Maintain Lane, Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce, Forgery and Giving False Name to an Officer in the area of Hwy. 11 and Bold Springs Road following a traffic stop.

Accident – A two-vehicle accident with no injuries occurred on Hwy. 78 at Troy Smith Road. Accident was handled by Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

Accident – A two-vehicle accident with injuries occurred on Hwy. 20 at McCullers Rd. Accident was handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Suspicious Vehicle – Complainant reported being followed by a black truck. Walton County deputy checked area. No contact.

Suspicious Vehicle – Resident on Harris Drive in Harrison Mill Subdivision reported being followed by an unknown vehicle. Walton County deputy checked the area. No contact.

Saturday, July 30

Arrest – Roy Lee Greer, Jr. was arrested for an outstanding Probation warrant in the area of Hwy. 11 and Parker Drive following a traffic stop.

Juvenile Complaint – Complaint of a large party at a residence on Hidden Meadow Lane. Walton County deputy checked area. Party was broken up. Juveniles were turned over to their parents.

Arrest – Joshua Beavers was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and False Report of a Crime following an incident on Hwy. 81 at Bold Springs Texaco.

Arrest – Jarvis Giles was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute that originated in the City of Monroe and then moved to the County.

Arrest – Osman Salifu was arrested for DUI and Tail Light Out on Hwy. 20 following a traffic stop.

Sunday, July 31

Arrest – James Bramblett was arrested for Battery and Obstruction of an Officer following an incident at a resident on Tipperary Circle.

TPO Violation – Subject reported her husband on location at a resident on River Bluff Road in violation of Temporary Protective Order. Walton County deputy responded. Walton County deputy chased subject on foot. Subject not apprehended.

Arrest – Two arrests at Centerhill Church Rd. at McCullers Rd. following a traffic stop. Cameron Mize was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Speeding and Parole Violation. William Chitwood was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Monday, August 1

Accident – An accident with minor injuries occurred on Albert Jones Drive. Accident was handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Accident – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 78. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.

Accident – A two-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 78 at Sardis Church Rd. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerhill Church Road at Kent Rock Road. Deputies checked for required driving criteria: driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations issued or arrests made.

Arrest – Two arrests as a result of a suspicious person complaint on Hwy. 20. Marcus Strayhorn was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Stone Mountain. Kim Beavers was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Floyd County.
