Here are some of the calls the sheriff's office handled recently in the Loganville area.
Tuesday, March 21

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 20 and Bailey Circle. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Monday, March 20

Entering Auto — Deputies took a report at a residence on Holly Strand Court in Watson Mill Subdivision in reference to an unknown individual entering complainant’s vehicle and taking a firearm.
Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Ozora Church Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Arrest — Herbert Gulley was arrested in the area of Grady Smith Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.
Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Ridgewood Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Theft — Deputies took a report in the area of Highway 81 and Bold Springs Road in reference to an unknown individual taking items from the location unlawfully. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.
Sunday, March 19
Damage to Property — Deputies responded to the area of Troy Smith Road and New Hope Church Road in reference to several mailboxes being damaged in the area appearing to have been struck by a vehicle.
Entering Auto — Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of Highway 11 in reference to complainants vehicle alarm going off several times throughout the week in the night times hours.
Citation — One motorist was cited in the area of Highway 20 for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.
Saturday, March 18
Arrest — Kenneth Rakestraw was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Bold Springs Road for Driving Under the Influence following a suspicious vehicle call.
Arrest — Christopher Massey was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Bold Springs Road for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County following a traffic stop.
Safety Check — Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on North Sharon Church Road and Green Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Citations and Arrests in reference to Safety Check:
- Munesh Itwaru was arrested for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Gwinnett County.
- Julie Miller was arrested for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.
- One motorist cited for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
- One motorist cited for Driving While Unlicensed.
Friday, March 17
Extra Patrol — Extra patrol was requested in the area of Maple Creek Avenue in reference to an unknown individual opening vehicle doors. Nothing appeared to be missing at this time.
Arrest — Manuel Guevara was arrested in the area of Bay Creek Church Road for Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic stop.
Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Carl Davis Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Bay Creek Church Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Safety Check — Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Centerville Rosebud Road and Manor Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Citations and arrests in reference to Safety Check:
- Two motorist cited for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
- Benjamin Driggers was arrested for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.
- Jacobe McCraney was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute and Theft by Receiving.
Safety Check — Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 81 and Tom Brewer Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Javier Jarquin was arrested for Driving While Unlicensed.
Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Broadnax Mill Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Recovered Vehicle — Deputies responded to a business in the area of Highway 20 in reference to a vehicle that came back stolen from Gwinnett County Police Department. Vehicle was taken into custody.
Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Bay Creek Church Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
