The National Weather moved its Winter Weather Advisory northward Monday, removing nearly all of metro Atlanta from the list, including Grayson and the rest of Gwinnett County. Most of metro Atlanta had been included in the advisory, which was initially issued Sunday afternoon.

The advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday, but the area has shrunk to northwest Georgia, from Cherokee and Bartow to the Alabama and Tennessee lines. A Winter Storm Warning, with an inch of snow and up to a half-inch of ice, is in effect for northeast Georgia.

What Loganville and Grayson can count on is mostly rain Monday and Tuesday, with a slight chance of some freezing precip. No accumulation is expected.

The low tonight will be 28. Tuesday will have a high of 40 with windy conditions.
