The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, says the weekend will be mostly sunny in North Georgia, with only a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. (see the forecast below)

Highs will be in the mid-80’s Saturday and Sunday and the chance of rain is no greater than 20 percent anywhere in the region (a greater chance comes next week).

  • Friday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind around 5 mph.
  • Saturday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Sunny, with a high near 86. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
  • Saturday night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
  • Sunday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.
  • Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.
