1 In Custody After Marietta SWAT Incident
The person was a burglary suspect at a business near Windy Hill Road and Drachten Drive, a media report says.
MARIETTA, GA — A burglary suspect was taken into custody in a Tuesday morning SWAT incident at a business at Windy Hill Road and Drachten Drive, according to the Cobb County Police Department and a media report.
Police said officers found a burglary suspect near the front door of the business after being dispatched to an alarm call; however, the suspect retreated inside of the business after being confronted by officers.
Police then reported a second suspect was seen crawling inside of the ceiling tile but later told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution a second person was no longer suspected.

The burglary suspect in custody was found in the attic and was apprehended around 9:30 a.m. by the Cobb County Police SWAT team, police said.
The AJC reported the scene was no longer active around 12:45 p.m.
