10 Cobb Students Named National Merit Scholars

These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

MARIETTA, GA – Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation have announced the names of approximately 3,000 winners in the College-Sponsored Merit Scholarship.

Ten Cobb students were selected as scholarship winners. Last fall, 56 Cobb students were named semifinalists for the Merit scholarship.

These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study. An additional group of college-sponsored Merit scholarship recipients will be announced in July.

The academically talented high school seniors are part of the distinguished group of 7,500 students who will receive National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $33 million.
