$10K Reward Offered After Trucks Suffer Vandalism, Fire In Marietta

Someone vandalized several trucks and trailers and set fire to a 2018 Peterbilt and a 2017 Freightliner Monday, fire personnel said.

MARIETTA, GA — A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered after fire personnel say someone vandalized several trucks and trailers, and also intentionally set fire to two semi-trucks Monday morning in a case of arson.

Marietta Fire Marshal Capt. Jason Garner said in a news release firefighters and police officers responded to the 2200 block of Cobb Parkway South, near a restaurant, where a semi-truck was on fire. There were no injuries in the fire, which was quickly extinguished, he said.

According to the Marietta Fire Marshal’s Office, someone vandalized several trucks and trailers and set fire to a 2018 Peterbilt and a 2017 Freightliner.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for arson, Garner said. He asked anyone with information to call Fire Lt. Richard Franklin, (770) 794-5464, or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline, 1 (800) 282-5804.
