2 Injured In Marietta Crash After Being Hit By Truck
The driver of the Dodge Ram overcorrected while going around a curve and hit two people on the shoulder of the Cobb interstate.
MARIETTA, GA — Two people were injured Sunday morning in a crash on Interstate 285 east at its intersection with Interstate 75 north, Cobb County Police said Monday.
Police said a 59-year-old Tarrant, Alabama, man was driving a grey 2003 Dodge Ram around 8 a.m. on I-285 east, where an unoccupied 2017 Ram 5500 wrecker was sitting on the right shoulder of the ramp with an unoccupied 2009 Chevrolet Silverado.
The 2003 Ram went around a curve at an "unsuitable speed" and rotated counter-clockwise. The driver overcorrected, causing a clockwise rotation, police said. The truck crashed into two people who were on the shoulder before coming to an uncontrolled rest.

A 36-year-old was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in serious condition, and a 23-year-old was taken to Wellstar in stable condition. The driver of the 2003 Ram declined medical transport, police said.
