2 Seriously Injured After Pickup Rear-Ends Tractor-Trailer: Cobb Cops

Cobb County Police say two people were seriously injured in a crash after a pickup truck hit the back of a Freightliner.

MARIETTA, GA — Two people were injured after a pickup truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer Sunday night at South Cobb Drive, south of Barclay Circle, Cobb County Police said Monday.

The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Police said the 1995 Nissan pickup and the Freightliner tractor-trailer were heading south on South Cobb Drive, where the Nissan hit the back of the Freightliner, police said.

The Freightliner did not stop at the scene, and the Nissan rested in the southbound lanes, police said.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said.

It is unknown if anyone will face any charges in the case.
