2 Who Died In 5-Car Marietta Crash Identified
Police say the initial driver had a flat tire, which led to the pile-up.
MARIETTA, GA — Police have identified the two people who died Tuesday morning in a five-car crash on Interstate 75 northbound near South Marietta Parkway.
Marietta Police say Eduarda Cristina Romano DaSilva, 21, of Marietta, was driving a 2015 Honda Civic around 5:15 a.m. on I-75 north, where she caught a flat tire.
DaSilva stopped the Honda in the far left lane, where her car was then hit by a 2017 Toyota Rav4 being driven by Victor Parra, 59, of Jonesboro, police said.

The Toyota then spun out of control, facing the Honda in the wrong direction, police said. As DaSilva and Parra were exiting their cars, they were hit by a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by a 72-year-old Indiana man, police said. The Toyota was also hit.
DaSilva and Parra died at the scene while the driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger were taken to Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, police said.

Two more cars drove through the area of the crash and had minor damage, police said. Both drivers stopped and cooperated with police.
